Klooker is here to support you in your quest to replace 'regular' products by ethical, sustainable products.
The huge impact of what we eat and drink
The majority of us is hardly aware of the big environmental impact of what we eat and drink.
Just as an example: pesticides and insecticides are commonly used on the majority of crops and fruits. And thus have a huge impact on the environment.
Check these films on the impact of pesticides on our environment and on our health.
Organic products impact our environment a lot less. And probably are better for our health as well.
Although scientific research has not found convincing and conclusive evidence yet that organic food actually is healthier, there are strong indications it is.

But then the big question is, how can you easily replace 'regular' products by organic ones?
Specialised supermarkets are not on every streetcorner. And to visit the local farmers yourself...
Food subscription boxes can fix this problem for you.
And they often offer free home delivery. Some even claim to be cheaper than buying the ingredients yourself. This is hard to check, however.
What we can check is which boxes
1. are organic
2. have vegetarian boxes and
3. are filled with locally produced products
We checked a lot of food subscription boxes.
The following boxes did NOT qualify on some or all of the three mentioned criteria
- HelloFresh (organic 🙁), Marley Spoon (organic 🙁), Gousto (local 🤔, organic 🙁) and Weight Watchers Smart Kitchen (organic 🙁)
All the boxes below did qualify as organic, locally produced and also containing veggie boxes
- Abel & Cole, Riverford, Snap!, Allplants and Mindful Chef.
Perhaps we missed some companies, but these are the ones we checked.
We recommend each of these four companies, but we highlight Mindful Chef here.
Because they are innovative and totally focus on a healthy lifestyle!
